Why we build in vertical sprints

Depth compounds faster than breadth when the goal is to turn services into defensible products.

It is tempting to spread across many industries at once. We do the opposite: we go deep in one vertical at a time, because depth is where the reusable, defensible parts of a product actually come from.

Breadth is easy to start and hard to defend

Serving ten industries shallowly feels like progress and pipeline. But shallow work leaves nothing behind — each project is a fresh start, and there is no accumulating advantage a competitor would struggle to copy.

Depth is slower to feel good and far harder to replicate. That is exactly why it is worth choosing.

A vertical sprint compounds

When several projects share one domain, the second is faster than the first and the third faster still. The patterns repeat, the components carry over, and the studio starts to know the problem better than any single client does.

That accumulated understanding is the raw material of a product. You cannot get it by sampling ten domains once.
